The Indian partner organisations of the bioRe Foundation Switzerland, bioRe Association, and Remei India Ltd (formerly bioRe India), have been implementing partners for the system comparison studies led by FiBL since 2007.
The bioRe India Association in collaboration with Remei India, as the local project implementer in India, is responsible to execute the project work as agreed upon by the two partners. In particular, it implements the specified work plan, monitors the work progress, and ensures that work is performed to an adequate quality standard. The bioRe India Association, as the trial host, provides land for the farming systems comparison field trial and secures the possibility for its long-term use. In addition to its operational responsibilities, bioRe Association India takes the lead in dissemination activities.
The bioRe India Association is a farmers’ association with the vision to empower organic and biodynamic farmers and communities by facilitating education and promoting infrastructure, addressing local needs thus leading to holistic and sustainable development. The association has engaged a research team on joint activities with FiBL in the field of long-term system comparison. The bioRe association is linked to the organic cotton farming company Remei India Ltd which is a subsidiary of Swiss Remei AG.
